Focus Answering Service Again Earns Top Honors from ATSI

Focus Answering Service, headquartered in Eldersburg, Md., was recently honored with the Association of TeleServices International (ATSI) 2020 Award of Excellence.

This is Focus’ 15th year receiving the ATSI Award of Excellence, which means this is the first year that they qualified for Platinum status for the award.

Focus’ Vice President of Business Development, Jim Reandeau, also received ATSI’s 2020 President’s Award, which recognizes association members who have given tirelessly to the profession in a volunteer capacity. Award recipients contribute their time, expertise, and leadership in support of ATSI missions and goals, and give back to the profession as a board or committee member.

The dual honors were announced July 30 during ATSI’s virtual awards ceremony.

Outgoing president Joe Pores presented Reandeau with his honor. Pores called Reandeau “a true team player,” and cited his dedication as a Regional Group President; his willingness to volunteer, problem solve, and lead; and his continuous support and resourcefulness as reasons for the prestigious accolade.

ATSI launched the Award of Excellence 24 years ago as a means to improve the overall quality of the call center industry by setting expectations and measurements to ensure a successful call handling experience. For 15 years, Focus has won the award based on criteria evaluated by independent judges over a six-month period. This includes:

  • Response time
  • Courteousness
  • Accuracy
  • Knowledge of account
  • Overall impression

“I am so proud of our amazing team,” said Donna West. “We continuously set the highest standards for quality throughout our company, which is evidenced by the award-winning calls fielded by each and every one of our agents, and the fact that we have been recognized – once again – as one of the best service companies in North America. Congratulations to everyone!”
